Keeping a college education attainable and affordable makes a profound difference in the lives of UCO students. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the UCO Foundation assists students with their college expenses by offering more than 450 scholarships and awards each year.
While each scholarship and award has its own unique selection criteria, they all reward our students who work hard to maintain high academic standards, give back to the university and the community through their leadership and service and represent UCO's core values of character, civility and community.
The application process for the majority of our scholarships and awards begins in late fall. At that time, we will post downloadable applications and forms to the Forms & Deadlines page in the Scholarships and Awards section of our website. Please contact Virginia Ellis
, coordinator of scholarships and donor fund compliance, with questions regarding the scholarship and award application process.
The Foundation places a high priority on growing the number of scholarships and awards we offer to UCO students. If you are a donor who would like to establish a new scholarship or award with your gift, please contact the UCO Foundation office at 405.974.2771.
The University offers out-of-state tuition waivers to students whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) are UCO graduates. The waiver brings tuition costs down to in-state rates. Students must meet UCO admission requirements, and the waiver is renewable. For an application, contact the UCO Admissions Office at (405) 974-2338.

For more than 50 years, UCO has honored its most outstanding alumni with the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Family of the Year Award. These are the highest honors alumni can receive. These individuals truly are Central's brightest shining stars. The award recognizes their outstanding accomplishments in education, arts and sciences, business/professions, community service or university service.
