UCO Alumni Association Goes International!

The first International Chapter of the UCO Alumni Association hosted a kick-off event on January 11, 2015. Twenty UCO alumni were present at the meeting, hosted at Cat Cafe in Guangzhou. Alumni participated in games and socializing, with videos from President Don Betz, VP of Development Anne Holzberlein, and various UCO community members congratulating the chapter on their founding.

Central will host Syrian Kurdish women’s rights activist Senam Mohamad for a discussion titled 'Middle Eastern Women and the Effect of ISIS' at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in Ballroom A, Nigh University Center. A reception will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Heritage Room. Read more.

Luminary Society

With the 125-year celebration for the University of Central Oklahoma comes a new society that honors individuals who brought distinction to, or positively influenced the life of the university through their service and/or contributions.

This visionary group of 125 will be recognized throughout the celebration year and formally inducted into the new Luminary Society for the university. Eligible nominees can be living or deceased and include alumni; former and current students and employees; or community members and advocates.
